One of the early questions for would-be founders is “how do I find a cofounder?”
The question doesn’t apply only to startups.
How do I find someone to help me with the social cause I care about?
How do I find someone to help me launch a new product?
How do I find someone to help me publish online?
The answer? Friends.
Make friends with people. Find people you want to work with, to spend time with, to build with.
The people you work on any project with should be friends.
Of course there’s a risk you may lose them.
When there is money and passion involved, there always is.
But what’s the alternative? Working with acquaintances? People you don’t like?
Be realistic with your expectations, communicate as best you can, and prioritize the relationship just like any other.
Build with friends.
