Keeping Calm

The world is changing faster each day.

It can feel harder and harder to keep up.

Everything is a crisis. Headlines call for your attention constantly.

We’re bombarded by marketing.

We see the best of other’s lives on social networks and younger people doing amazing things, and we feel left behind.

The opportunities of the modern, internet-connected world come with downsides.

And we can’t change a lot of them.

We can’t shut off the marketing. We can’t completely avoid the news.

But we can control our reaction. We can remain calm.

Indeed, we can see all these distractions as an opportunity. An opportunity to practice being calm in the face of crisis. To be solid, reliable, consistent and dependable.

As the world speeds up, calm becomes a bigger and bigger advantage.

The world may not be calm.

But we can be.
